an early christmas present … or two!

There are some new additions to my sewing room thanks to a couple of early Christmas presents …

My ever resourceful Dad made the wonderful ribbon holder for me, which I absolutely love! (that goes for the ribbon holder and my Dad by the way πŸ™‚ ).

I was going to wait until I had painted it before I showed you, but I just couldn’t wait! Isn’t it fab?

And my lovely Mum (who knows me onlyΒ too well) gave me this fun little plaque for my wall

  1. What lovely parents you have, they’re lovely gifts. I got an early gift of 8 fat quarters of spotty fabrics from one of my brothers, so I’m very happy to. X

  2. oh wow!!!!! my god I’m jealous LOLOL they are both gorgeous, I love the ribbon holder as it is, but look forward to seeing what colour you paint it. I would say mum and dad have your presents spot on. Have a wonder Christmas xx

  3. Hi Natalie…Your plaque is fab (I need one for my craft room πŸ™‚ ) …and I definitely need one of your dad’s gorgeous ribbon holders…I saw a similar one recently and have it on my wish list…I love it..your dad’s so clever!..x

P.S Thank you for calling by today and your kind comments Natalie…it’s always a treat to visit you and see your lovely projects..x

    • Thank you Susan! I have seen these ribbon holders made from up-cycled french wine boxes and they look really super but they are quite pricey. I would like to be able to paint the words ‘Sewing Room Secrets’ on the bottom of this one, but I will have to think about how best to do it first. I’m also hoping to carve out a little time to knit your latest ‘Winter Mice’ pattern very soon. Best wishes for a lovely Christmas with your girls. Natalie x

Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment. I love to hear what you have to say - it really does brighten my day! Natalie x
